LENOVO GOAL STAR – PLATFORM TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) will be deemed to have been accepted by the user on usage of the Lenovo Goal Star employee engagement and rewards platform made available at https://lenovogoalstar.com/ (“Platform”) and any corresponding applications made available in connection with it. These Terms are in addition to, and shall be read with, other general website terms of use and documentation as may be published from time to time.
“User” shall refer only to an individual who is an employee of Lenovo in India and who is authorized to access the Platform. “Lenovo” shall refer to Lenovo (India) Private Limited and its affiliates. The term “Platform” refers to https://lenovogoalstar.com/ and any corresponding applications owned, operated, or managed by the authorised Vendor of Lenovo, including any employee rewards, recognition, or incentive platforms made available thereon.
“Vendor”/ ”Vendor” means the third‑party service provider engaged by Lenovo to operate and maintain the Platform.
By using the Platform, the User agrees to follow and be bound by these Terms concerning the use of the Platform. The Vendor may revise these Terms at any time without prior notice to the User, and any updated Terms will be effective when posted on the Platform. Specific sections, modules, or applications within the Platform may have additional or different terms of use posted, and such terms shall apply to the use of those specific sections, modules, or applications.
Access, Eligibility And Accounts
Access to the Platform is restricted to eligible employees of Lenovo India who have been invited or otherwise authorized to participate in the Lenovo Goal Star program or similar internal programs. The User confirms that they are accessing the Platform in their capacity as a Lenovo employee and in compliance with applicable Lenovo internal policies, including but not limited to the Lenovo Code of Conduct and any applicable HR, IT and information security policies.
Only Users with a valid Lenovo domain email ID are permitted to register for and create an account on the Platform. Registration and continued access may be subject to verification of the User’s Lenovo email ID and employment status with Lenovo.
The designated Vendor may provide the User with a user ID, password, one‑time password, or other login credentials to enable the User to access certain areas of the Platform or particular contents or services. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of such credentials and for all activities carried out under the User’s account.
The User must not use or set their Lenovo network, system, or device passwords (including but not limited to their Lenovo Windows login, VPN, or other corporate system credentials) as the password for accessing the Platform. The User must choose a distinct password for the Platform.
The User must immediately notify Lenovo or the designated helpdesk of any unauthorized use or suspected compromise of their Platform credentials. The Vendor may, but is not obligated to, require password changes, block access, or take other remedial measures where compromise is suspected.
The Vendor may suspend, restrict, or terminate the User’s access to the Platform or any part of it at any time, with or without notice, including (without limitation) where the User ceases to be employed by Lenovo, violates these Terms, or violates any applicable internal policy or law. Provisions relating to disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property, and indemnity shall survive such termination.
Program Nature And Use
The Platform may host or facilitate rewards, recognition, loyalty, or incentive programs intended exclusively for Lenovo employees in India, under which Users may earn, view, and/or redeem points, badges, or other benefits, subject to program‑specific rules (“Program Rules”) that may be published on or through the Platform. The User’s participation in any such program shall be subject to, and conditional upon, compliance with the applicable Program Rules, in addition to these Terms.
Any points, credits, rewards, or similar benefits made available through the Platform (collectively, “Rewards”) do not have any cash or real‑world monetary value, are non‑transferable (except as expressly permitted in the Program Rules), and may be used only in the manner and within the period described in the applicable Program Rules. The Vendor may adjust, cancel, expire, or otherwise modify Rewards (including balances, earning rates, and redemption options) at any time, subject to applicable law and any Program Rules.
The Platform and any Program are offered as a discretionary employee benefit or engagement initiative and do not form part of any employment contract, compensation, or benefits arrangement. Nothing on or through the Platform shall be construed to create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint‑venture relationship beyond the User’s existing employment with Lenovo, and no entitlement to continued operation of the Platform or any Program is created.
Intellectual property
All content present on the Platform, including but not limited to, logos, icons, audio, video, compilations, and data (“Content”) excluding the software, user interfaces, designs, text, images, and graphics, is the exclusive property of Lenovo, unless specified otherwise. Such Content may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. The User shall not copy, modify, reproduce, republish, upload, transmit, post, publicly display, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform or Content, in any form or by any means, without prior written authorization from Lenovo or the relevant rights holder. Any unauthorized use of the Platform or Content may result in civil or criminal liability under applicable laws and may also be treated as a disciplinary matter under Lenovo’s internal policies.
Changes To Platform And Terms
The Vendor may change, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform, including any content, features, modules, Programs, or Rewards, at any time, with or without notice. The Vendor may also impose limits on certain features or restrict the User’s access to parts or all of the Platform without liability. If there is a conflict between these Terms and any additional terms of use, Program Rules, or specific conditions posted for a particular section or feature of the Platform, the latter shall prevail for the User’s use of that section or feature.
No Warranties
The Platform, its Content, and all software, products, services, and Rewards provided on or through the Platform are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Lenovo and the Vendor expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and title, in relation to the Platform and any Content, products, or services made available on or through it.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lenovo or the Vendor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, business, reputation, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with: the use of, inability to use, or unavailability of the Platform; any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any Content or information provided on or through the Platform; any unauthorized access to or alteration of the User’s transmissions or data; or any matter relating to the Platform, Programs, or these Terms. This limitation shall apply whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if Lenovo or the Vendor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Without prejudice to the foregoing, to the extent Lenovo and/or the Vendor is found liable under applicable law notwithstanding the above, Lenovo’s and the Vendor’s aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform and these Terms shall be limited to one‑third of the value of the Rewards (if any) directly in dispute or, if no such Rewards are in dispute, to a nominal amount of INR 100/-.

The User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lenovo and Vendor, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) the User’s use or misuse of the Platform, Content, or any Program; (b) any breach of these Terms or applicable law by the User; or (c) any infringement or alleged infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of a third party by the User.
